About Stackrace
Making food discovery personal
We're a small team with a big belief: finding food you love shouldn't be a chore.
Our Mission
We started Stackrace because we were tired of the same frustrating experience: open an app, scroll through a wall of restaurant names and star ratings, feel overwhelmed, and end up ordering the same thing you always order. Food discovery was broken — and no one was fixing the right problem.
The insight was simple. You don't eat restaurants — you eat dishes. Let's Eat puts the food front and centre. Our AI watches what you swipe on and quietly builds a model of your taste, so every session gets smarter. We connect hungry people with the specific dishes they're most likely to love, and we connect local brands with the customers who are genuinely excited about their food.
We believe AI should be used responsibly — as a tool that empowers people, not one that harvests attention. That means no dark patterns, no manipulative feeds, no selling your data. Just a thoughtful recommendation engine that gets better the more you use it and helps you find your next favourite meal.
What We Stand For
Our Values
User First
Every decision starts with a real user need. We don't ship features for vanity metrics — we build things that genuinely make food discovery better for the people using our app every day.
AI for Good
We use AI as a tool to help people, not to manipulate them. Our recommendation engine is transparent — it learns your taste so it can serve you better, never to keep you endlessly scrolling.
Local Brand
Local restaurants are the heart of every neighbourhood. We built our platform to give independent food brands a fair shot at reaching customers who are already hungry for what they offer.
The People
Meet the Team
Alex Rivera
Co-founder & CEO
Former product lead at a food-tech startup. Obsessed with the gap between "good reviews" and "will I actually enjoy this dish?"
Jordan Kim
Co-founder & CTO
Full-stack engineer with a background in recommendation systems. Believes the best code is code that disappears into the experience.
Sam Okafor
Head of Design
Interaction designer focused on accessibility and delight. Every swipe in Let's Eat has been agonised over by Sam.
Based in Toronto, Canada
Our team is spread across time zones, but our roots are in Toronto — one of the most diverse food cities in the world. Being remote-first means we hire the best people regardless of where they live, and it keeps us honest about building software that works for everyone.
